Tips and tricks for making graveyard milkshakes
- Chill your glasses. This will help keep your milkshake cool for longer and will also make your chocolate sauce drip more slowly down the sides of your glass.
- Add some extra fun toppings and decorations. Oreos, sprinkles, Halloween candies and chocolates are all great decorating options. Add a decorative Halloween straw or other fun toppers like plastic skeletons or bones. These bone cookies look great dipped into your milkshake. You could even make some graveyard brownies to serve your milkshake as a freak shake!
- Tweak the ice cream to milk ratio to suit your preferences. For an extra thick milkshake add more ice cream and less milk. For a thinner milkshake reduce the ice cream amount and add more milk. Just bear in mind that the more ice cream you add the sweeter your milkshake will end up.
- The chocolate sauce will make more than enough for 4 milkshakes. Store any leftover sauce in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. It is great reheated and drizzled over homemade brownies or ice cream. You can even use it to make some more graveyard milkshakes!
