Baguette French Toast

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large baguette
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla essance
  • Butter for frying
  • your choice of toppings

Method
 

  1. Using a serrated knife cutyour baguette into slices approx 2-3cm thick.
  2. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar eggs and vanilla. Whisk well to ensure that the egg is mixed through evenly.
  3. Heat a small frying pan on a medium high heat. Add a bit of butter for cooking.
  4. While the pan is heating up dip a few slices of the cut bread into the egg mixture. Soaking each side for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  5. Fry the soaked bread in a little bit of butter for about a minute on each side. the cooked bread French toast should be golded on each side and warm through the middle.
  6. Repeat the dipping and frying process with the remaining bread slices until all of your bread slices are cooked.
  7. Serve immediately alongside your choice of toppings.
