Preheat your oven to 150 degrees (fan)
In a medium sized bowl combine the flour, baking powder and icing sugar
Use a microwave to melt the butter with the jam in a small cup or microwave safe bowl
Pour the melted butter and jam into your bowl of dry ingredients and then add in the cream
Mix all of your ingredients together until well combined
Turn out your dough and knead slightly to form a smooth ball
Crumple a piece baking paper large enough to line a regular sized cake pan
Place the dough in the centre of your baking paper and press out to form a disk slightly smaller than your cake pan
Cut the scone dough into 8 evenly sized wedges. Do not pull the sections apart. Lifting from the baking paper, place the prepared scones into your cake pan.
Bake for 35 minutes or until just cooked through
Remove the scones from the cake pan and run a knife along your cut lines to ensure they will come apart
In a small bowl, combine the jam, icing sugar and just enough water to create a runny icing
Drizzle the icing over the scones and serve immediately
