Slow Cooker Saucy Ribs

For perfectly tender and saucy, slow cooked ribs you can not beat this recipe. These slow cooker saucy ribs are slathered in flavor, very easy to make and are so tender that the meat will fall right off the bone.

Course: Main Course

Ingredients

  • 1.5 kg ribs pork or beef
  • 1 tin diced tomatoes in juice
  • 1/3 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup malt vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon crushed garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper

Method

  1. Place everything except for your ribs into your slow cooker. Stir well to combine.
  2. Use a sharp knife to cut the ribs into serving sized sections. Cut between the rib bones. I like to cut a large rack into 3-4 chunks to serve as a main meal. Or into 6 -8 smaller sized chunks if this is part of a large family style meal or pot lunch dinner party.
  3. Place your rib sections into your sauce, making sure each piece is coated generously.
  4. Cook on high for 6 hours or until tender and easily pulled apart when tested with a fork.
  5. Serve warm with your favorite side dishes.
