What makes these cookies a reverse chocolate chip cookies

Chocolate chip cookies are like the classic cookie. Everyone has their favorite recipe (here is my chocolate chip cookie recipe!), they are always a welcome addition to any snack time. But sometimes the complete opposite of something can be absolutely amazing too.

That is what these cookies are

  • Chocolate cookie base instead of a classic vanilla brown sugar base
  • White chocolate instead of dark chocolate chips
  • And a decadent fudgy texture instead of a chewy crispy texture.

Whether you love chocolate chip cookies or not, these reverse chocolate chip cookies are a great snack or treat

Ingredients

White Chocolate – Chop up a little over half a block of white chocolate to create the chips for your reverse chocolate chip cookies. White chocolate chips or buttons will also work well.

Cocoa Powder – Use whatever cocoa you have on hand. The darker the cocoa the richer the chocolate cookie will be.

Butter – Salted butter is what I always use. If you use unsalted then add in 1/4 teaspoon of salt.

Sugar – Plain white sugar.

Flour – Plain white all purpose flour.

Baking powder – For a little rise and softness in your cookies.

Egg – One large egg.

Vanilla – Extract or essence will work well here.
