Then it is all toasted in the oven to guarantee crispy, sweet perfection. This recipe might even be just the thing to make breakfast your favorite meal of the day.

Serving suggestions
Simple cereal – So many cereals can benefit from just a handful of this caramel walnut breakfast topping, simply sprinkle some on top. My favorite is to have this sprinkled over Special K or cornflakes.
Yogurt – You can’t beat a nice thick Greek yogurt, sprinkled with these caramel walnut bites, then drizzled with a bit of maple syrup. Delicious!
Porridge – Why not add a little texture to your morning porridge. A handful on of this, sprinkled top makes for an easy, crunchy flavor boost.
Pancakes or waffles – Instead of syrup, bananas and bacon why not try some tinned peaches, maple syrup and a sprinkling of this delicious topping. Place some cooked apples, a generous spoonful of this walnut crunch mix and a dollop of cream on to homemade pikelets for a tasty apple crumble style treat.
Trail mix – Combine your caramel walnut breakfast topper with some cashews, dried apricots, and a chunky cereal like Nutri-grain or checks for a simple on the go snack.
Ice cream – Don’t limit this delicious treat to breakfast. Sprinkle some over vanilla ice cream with a little bit of caramel sauce. You could even try my walnut maple ice cream for an extra special treat.
On its own – This is even prefect for snacking on its own. Crispy bites of sweet oaty walnuts, the perfect little energy boosting, sweet treat.
